Tombola is a story of a poor African boy who's helped by a Briton in his village. The latter discovers the young lad's immense intellectual prowess and develops it. Tombola ends up at Cambridge University, England, where he receives a PhD in Advanced Astro-Computational Science. An acclaimed scholar, Tombola is well-sought after. Yet, he turns down the various prestigious offers to return to his beloved Cameroon with the vision to make his village a high-tech society on par with the most advanced ones anywhere in the world. After a couple of setbacks, Tombola finally succeeds. We learn in this brilliant portrayal that "Where there's a will, there's a way." Another great read by LeJOY. |
